Bethany Barmer -- Fitness Specialist
Bethany graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2014.
She is certified through the Board of Certification (BOC) and registered with National Association of Athletic Trainers (NATA).
Personal fitness has always been an important aspect for Bethany after being the "chubby kid" through middle school. Her mom was a role model for body positivity, but to make sure that your body was healthy first and foremost.
Her philosophy to getting fit and healthy is to make sure the journey is enjoyable and maintainable. For her, this was by enrolling in Dance and Gymnastics classes until she felt comfortable branching into other aspects of fitness with focuses on cardio and strength training. This made the goal easier to reach as the path was not burdened with "Have To's", but rather, "Want To's". She wants to give others the opportunity to join in on this neverending journey.
Bethany is currently expecting her first child and will be on leave Starting around Christmas.
